The end, chapter 13 · 4:34pm Nov 12th, 2021
I'm sorry, I've tried, I really have but I'm just no longer getting any enjoyment from writing this. For months I literally spend hours sitting on a computer getting nowhere feeling guilty I'm getting nowhere or then feeling guilty because I go do something else instead. I could wrongly keep it on hiatus keeping your false hopes up it would one day see the light of the day like so many other fics here but that simply is not fair and I hate when writers do that. I've hastily finished up chapter 13 and NOT PROOF READ so sorry for any errors but at least you get one more laugh as Scootaloo sends Snape bananas one final time. Thanks for a crazy year and a bit and if anyone wishes to continue where I've left off feel free and I'll still be around if you want to talk! Samuel.
That's too bad. I really loved both versions of the story. I am really bad about posting comments so I didn't say anything before. For that I am sorry that you did not get my support.

Thanks for the nice comments. I tried, I really did to keep the story going but book two turned into a mess in my eyes which I saw to late and everything kind of went downhill from there. I'm still prooud of my achievement with book 1 and will look at writing other stuff in future, mostly short comedy stuff. Currently I'm think Daring Do, the CMC and a terrible Scooby Doo type parody.
At last you managed to see you can't end it and you admitted it... Many other writers just leave it in hiatus for years and they don't admit it.
May I ask if it's mainly a writer block, or is more that you re-read your story and don't like it? Or is mainly that you got tired? Or something else?

Thank you, so much. This is why I cancelled it. I hate other people leaving stories in limbo for years. Better just to say I'm done and leave it at that. I'd say a combination. I'm really struggling writing wise, it used to be a lot of fun but currently finding it more of a chore. I didn't like how the whole of book two was panning out and that's why I tried to re-write it but it just ended up a mess and overall to soul destroying to continue and see some stuff I'd slaved away for hours to write instantly binned. I also was a little tired at how fixed everything is within Harry Potter and felt I was literally just regurgitating someone else's work mostly.
I do love the whole boarding school premise and I am currently thinking about a setting with a little more freedom and expression. It will combine magic studies with normal school subjects and unlike Hogwarts I'll also be able to keep the entire cast to no more than around 20-25 characters which will make it easier to keep track of. Plus its a crossover no one has even thought of doing yet and although a little niche involves some characters that are very well known everywhere.

Well, I can only wish you luck and may your muse don't leave you forever
