My Little Pony G5 News 11/11/2021 · 2:44pm Nov 11th, 2021

Step right up! Step right up! Get your juicy news here!

GOOD MORNING, FIMFICTION FANATICS!!! This is the Dramamaster829; Critic, Actor, Writer, Motivational Speaker, and Occasional Singer, keeping you up to date with the latest news for Generation 5 and beyond! Generation 5 continues to prove to be quite the trend, even between all the 'Squid Games' and 'Inside Jobs' along with some follow-ups to series that continue to run on Netflix to this day. There has been without question that the film's first impression has left several different types of audiences over the span of a few months.

First we have the fans who utterly 'love' the movie despite all its hiccups to work with...

Then there are the fans who feel its flaws are just too much and dislike it for the sake of hating...

And ironically enough, something about the cast of this new generation has set off some flames and suddenly there's over dozens of clop related material involving some rather interesting pairings if you know what I mean...

Oh, I know what you mean! I've read FOUR of them!

Okay, keep that guy FAR away from me!

Now for some time now, sources have indicated that shortly after the movie's release there would be additional plans for specials and even a television run to take place on both Netflix and even on YouTube (Though the series will be Netflix exclusive). I won't deny that we haven't received a ton of news as far as promotional material to indicate just what we can expect or how the story will follow-up from the events of the movie. But with that being said faithful readers, this much we know for absolute certainty:

1. The series itself will be released in the Fall of next year...
2. A 44-minute special will be set to air during the summer...

So on a shorter note, fans are in for quite a wait before we actually get to see most of these new ponies at work again, that being the Mane Five, the supporting cast (If any are featured at all), and all those background characters folks are suddenly throwing names around.

HOLD ON! HOLD ON! I'm not quite finished yet...

*Clears throat* I do have some rather interesting news that is sure to make the wait worthwhile. A 2D animation will soon be coming to YouTube and the starting availability will be in Italy come next Spring. So to any Italian readers who check out this blog, you lot are certainly in luck knowing that you'll be getting a first-hand view as to how our girls will look in 2D.

Now as we near the end of this blog, we do need to address the elephant in the room. Notice how it's mentioned that this special will be in '2D' as oppose to the '3D' animation the majority of the film was featured in. Of course, there was one brief exception such as the opening scene in which we were given a surprise appearance from Twilight and her friends in 2D animated form. Would this be the exact animation we'll be granted for this upcoming special? I don't really know for sure. Will the animation carry on with the remaining specials and the series set to air later next year? Who knows?

Do you even know 'anything' at all?

Oh, shut up! *Clears throat* Based on everything G5 has dropped in terms of main-format news (Even miles upon miles of concept art), expect a worldwide release of future G5 material to come. Within the next coming weeks, once previews for upcoming pony material come up, you can highly expect me to make tons of blogs in light of all the new material to arrange further instruction to all the readers who've stood by for all this time. Hasbro definitely has big plans in store for the fans with this new generation they are bringing together, basking in the success of this movie, and while it still faces the challenge of reaching the same pedestal as G4... thus far first impressions look very promising for our new additions to the MLP family.

But the bigger question remains: What do YOU think? Be sure to leave a comment below at your earliest convenience.

Until then faithful readers, this is the Dramamaster829... signing off!

First of all, where's that Ice Cream truck?

Second of all, I think the 2D animation would be largely similar to G4, considering it would be an art style they're familiar with

I'm not entirely sure. But definitely nothing that can be found in the states... least I don't think so.

It would make sense to retain the flash animation incorporated from G4 with G5. Since it's the one form of animation that the studios are familiar with in terms of recent MLP projects, it all the more makes logical sense that this would be remain the case for this series. Hopefully, the animation will turn out better than those bedsheets they promoted a while back.

Agreed. Of course, marketing also has screwed us over once again. I've seen plush toys of Izzy and Zipp -- the toys have cutie marks on both sides of their flanks.

Yeah I never understood why they do this. I mean in the movie, we've seen that only 'one' cutie mark is visible on one side of their flanks. But with toy marketing, the cutie marks are on both flanks. I mean c'mon people... make up your mind! Even the Gen 4 cast kept both cutie marks on both flanks in the opening.

Yeah! And yet in G4 toys the marks were only on one side of the butts

Pretty ironic if you ask me. If this is supposed to say something as far as the irony of the situation, I'm not sure if I find this rather amusing.

Either way we're getting our cute wittle pone content :rainbowkiss:

I'm still super hyped, any animation is okay in my book, cant wait to see what they have planned for G5, another top tier blog Drama, keep it cool, stay awesome, stay classy XD

Yeah. I honestly just want them to get the designs right though. Didn't they make a pink Celestia at one point?

Oh sure... there'll be plenty of cute content that is most certain to be abundant for sure. It's just going to be a matter as to whether their stories will be as engaging as the ponies actively involved.

Hopefully the 2D animation is a stellar one at best. Presentation is vital in any form of media after all.

You know I believe they did. Initially the toy design likely came out before the series. And even if that was not the case, we didn't get a 'Pink' Celestia but I do believe that a slight portion of the original design was eventually given to Cadence. Ergo, we received our Pink Celestia in some form (Albeit with a few subtle differences).

What is it with toy franchises and not getting anything right?

Who knows? Toy companies and the media that's meant to bring the shows inspired by them are hardly ever in-sync with one another. There's bound to be some key differences somewhere in between.

Which makes you question why they bother marketing the show. I mean, they say these shows are meant to market toys, but the toys end up not being accurate-

If anything, they know so as long as the kids are transfixed by what happens on the show. There's a guarantee that they, even adult collectors, will still buy the toys regardless of any accuracies or not. The toy company still makes their profit, as the studios get their money from the amount of viewership they are able to receive.

Can You ask mr engima why i've been banned or what's going on at least please? i really need the help

Oh God, this again? We just unblocked you from the group! How many times must we go through this?

I don't want to go through anything again. Trust me I'm just as annoyed/confused too. Whenever he's available I was just wondering if there was a way you could ask enigma if he knows what's happening. Pretty Please?

I won’t be able to speak to him anyway. He’s on vacation starting today. ‘You’ should be the one to talk to him. And if you can’t… there’s the problem. It’s completely out of my hands from the start.
