Working on another Deltarune story, Solve et Coagula · 9:32am Nov 6th, 2021
So for those who don't know, my main story right now is a Deltarune story called Tension Points (AO3 | Offprint). This is a slice of life drama, very similar to what I'm known for. Well, I've started another fic as a for-fun experiment and it is Not That.
Solve et Coagula is an AU, which I think is something I want to write more of in the future. This particular story is a demon AU (if you didn't notice by my pony story To Hell and Back, I have a large interest in demons and such). It involves the characters Kris, Catti, and with reluctance, Noelle, summoning a demon named Susrxian into the monster world. It's a pretty interesting way to explore these characters, I think.
But the thing with this story is that I'm winging it. I'm writing based on prompts that I'm not the one coming up with. Every chapter is a different prompt, and sometimes those force me to think creatively about how I can advance the story with that. The prompt this month was "Succulent" which was a hard one to work with, for example.
So not even I know where this thing will go. Tonight's chapter really took me by surprise. But I'm having a lot of fun writing it, and I hope it'll be fun to read as well. Do note, however, that it's rater M for violence. If you've seen Helluva Boss, that's the sorta vibe I want for Hell (much of the story does not take place in Hell, but for the chapters that do there will be over-the-top violence). Also worth noting because I am who I am there's shipping, particularly Noelle x Susie and Dess x Asriel. If that's your vibe, you can check out the story on AO3 or Offprint!
now that I've played through Ch2 and am playing it again, I should probably check these out, yeah <.<
edit to say I am very lucky I had the thought last night that Oh, maybe Noelle's mom is the mayor or else I would have been majorly spoiled by trying to figure out who the hell Dess is ;_;

Also confused because Dess is Noelle's older sister, not her mom. While it's pretty well hinted that Noelle's mom is the mayor, that fact doesn't seem highly connected to who Dess is
Dess is directly talked about in Chapter 2 though? I'm a little confused that this could've been a spoiler if you've played the chapter
Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts on my Deltarune stories if you do indeed read them!

I get the sense I missed a lot in chapter 2. Don't know how, all I know is I was really disappointed by it. :/ I don't remember ever hearing about Dess, though, and the page where she's explained also talks about her mom, which is what I meant. :B

It was one half hating the gameplay of the final boss and one half not remembering anything from chapter 1. :B I'm replaying the whole thing from the beginning, all in one go, to see if that helps. If you wanna see my full thoughts, here they are.
