Taking one auction-style commission · 7:24pm Nov 4th, 2021
Was putting this off for a while, but after my last round of commissions, I had several fellow writers and fans tell me I was severely underselling myself as a writer and not charging enough for my work. While I appreciate their honesty, I still find it hard to charge extra for when I open commissions and after a long weeks of deliberation, I decided to compromise and try an auction-style commission.
>how does it work?
It's simple actually, for the next few days until Sunday at midnight, I'm seeing who is willing to pay me the highest wage per words. My old rates were 12$/1,000 works so I'll use that as a starting point for people who are interested. People can throw their bids into the comments or Private message me on this site, or over on Discord.
Also as to what story subject matter I'll write, I'll stick to writing anything the winner wants.

Isn't the auction the highest price you could possibly get? Like, I'm not in the mood to get a writing commission (so this doesn't apply to me regardless), but I tend to avoid auctions like the plague because of insane price increases. I would think this is the opposite of a compromise XD

All depends. I rather have someone tell me what I'm worth and how a story is worth to them.
