Hey ya'll! I just finished the first draft of Chapter 11. I am now officially behind the release schedule. I will try to get the chapter out as fast as possible, but I might need a week or two to catch up to a good buffer spot moving forward. I haven't had time to step away from the draft to see if it is doing what I want it to do properly and polish it. I hope to remedy that in the coming days, but I need to make sure I don't burn out since this one was so hard to write. It's not that I'm running out of ideas, it's just this chapter needs to do what it does well. It needs to stick the landing... like critically stick the landing. Otherwise, Fancy doesn't work as a character. Some might say I am taking this too seriously, but I refuse to deliver something less than my best.
Get it together! You can do this!
Looking beyond 11, I know a few things that need to happen in Chapter 12, but I haven't even started it yet. By this time for the last chapters, I was already doing the final touches of the the release chapter and finishing the first draft of the unreleased work. I am so glad I had a day off today so I could commit my time to it today. Otherwise, I don't think I'd even be where I'm at now. We'll see how the next few days go, but if I have to, I'll push the schedule a week out to give me some time to catch up. It's not fair to AP to ask him to edit so soon after drafting as well when I'm not even sure it's ready for his final touches.
In other news, the stitches are itchy and I wrote an entirely different fic this week at the average length of the chapters I write for Electro Swing in one day, so maybe I shouldn't be beating myself up over delaying? I dunno. Electro Swing hasn't even been featured before and here I am treating it like I am apologizing for delaying an anticipated video game. Not healthy now that I think about it. Anyway, I can promise that the latest this chapter will come out is next Wednesday. Please be patient if you're my audience of one this evening. I always do my best to tell these stories, and I mean it.
