I actually finished a story for a contest on time.
EDIT: But I obviously wasn’t very attentive in reading the rules, and set the story in a time and place where there were no canon characters involved. Sigh. So the story was refused (very politely - as it was added to folder of stories that didn’t make the deadline, even though it actually doesn’t fit the contest criteria.)
I had submitted it to the Imposing Sovereigns III competition. My apologies to the contest judges for having wasted their time.
Nevertheless, I’d like to thank FanOfMostEverything for instigating this contest and providing me an excuse to write this story, which otherwise may never have been written. I’d also like to thank Nevina for helping with both editing and artwork.
BTW - this is a Gen 5 story that will only make sense if you’ve seen the movie, although it occurs years (generations?) before the events of the film. As usual, I’d love your feedback on the story and advice on improving my writing.
