This might just be a little venting-ish. A good family friend died some time back. It was traumatic and horrible and it really struck everyone very badly. I myself did not know him too well, but I do know he was a great guy. It hit home very pointedly that bad things can happen incredibly quickly. It also highlights the point that one should not put off whatever one desires to try and do or they may not wind up doing it at all. His family is known to be unfortunately prone to serious health issues, and that caught up with him rather early in life. This also reminds one must take care of themself first, then others. After all if one cannot keep oneself going.. well, not going to be much help to anyone else. My sister therefore decided instead of waiting a ridiculously long time, to get a hot tub. Haha. It is one of the few things she has ever really wanted, so why not. Good for everyone anyway. Mind you, we were able to keep the cost down by doing the wire conduit laying work ourselves, which took a couple days, and know someone who can set it up correctly. Even the connection box alone is like four hundred dollars. Otherwise the install cost would have been very prohibitive. Something like six grand. Anyway, a reminder to oneself not to hold off too long on things.
