The Rona · 2:48am Oct 17th, 2021
I was sent home from work after getting a 102.9 fever, so brave yourselves, i may have the rona and have to take a break.
On the upside, it seems to be holding back my migraines. i honestly don't know what is better at the moment, because i honestly don't feel too bad versus the constant head pain.
Go team rona, I guess?
(Here's hoping i'm not being too arrogant)
Hope you get well and feel better.
hope you get better but i have to use this quote, im sorry if this sound mean im not trying to be... i just never get to say this.
'overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer' - the darkest dungeon narrator.
I hope for a smooth recovery for you. Please get as much rest as you can. (Bow)
hope you don't end up with lasting symptoms like I did, don't think I've had more than an hour without feeling insanely thirsty in 10 months
I had it a couple of months ago, and I felt like death at multiple points, glad you’re hanging in there so strongly. Be aware that post-covid you can have some slight memory problems, apparently COVID not only robs you of smell and taste but also clarity.

Okay, now you guys are scaring me. I already felt what i think was the worst of ot yesterday (my smugness gone, felt like total shit). Today i just feel bad with a 100.8 and diareah.
I can still taste and smell thus far. May I and everyone else who gets this shit recover swiftly.

if you can still smell and taste you probably don't got it, did you get yourself tested or nah? (could definitely test after you recover to see if you had it, in most places the slow test that takes like a week is free) I got lucky and didn't have it that bad but it still felt like really severe pneumonia to me and that was while i was on steroids for the entire experience
shit aint fun to deal with, hope you jumped over the hump on that sickness you got whatever it is

It’s possible that he could not have any olfactory symptoms, if it settled more along his throat/larynx and lungs. Mine affected my mouth, sinuses, and the upper part of my throat. My uvula was inflated like a balloon, I had huge white blotches along my tongue and mouth, and everything burned going down. My fever was also 104, so it’s likely that there’s something else in play here.

I got myself tested yesterday, unfortunately. It is the rona. So far, it still feels like a normal flu to me. But my stamina is utterly sapped to the point standing for more than 6 minutes is exhauating

Its apparantly the rona, according to walgreens covid testing (holy fuck having to drive that qtip up my goddamn nose). But fuck, all i feel as of today is huge stamina drain. I feel exhausted, my appetite is gone, and my fever has gone down.
I've asked my brother to bring me some cans of soup and fruit tommorow to see if i just need to rebolster my strength.

Congrats on being one of the lucky ones, and yes fluid intake is vital right now. That and good O2 saturation. If you want you can purchase a finger monitor at CVS/Walgreens for like $5, it’ll help keep track and let you know if things look abnormal.

One of the first things I was able to eat was vegetable barley soup, so I’d recommend that as it has a lot of different vegetables but not a overpowering broth

I may be able to stomach that now, I lost my sense of smell and taste an hour ago. And I am having trouble focusing on things. I'm feeling physically better, but mentally exhausted at this point. I'm scared, pretty much. I'm off of work til the 31st, so if I feel better at some point, or can at least write...
I dunno, i'll work on another chapter and see how well I can write it and keep things together. Or at least to help me keep my mind off things.
