So, lately you may or may not have noticed my writing has slowed down. I could tell you it was my job keeping me busy, but honestly, I could write at work if I really wanted too. Is it burnout? Not really? Then why?
Honestly, I feel like no matter how hard I try, I'm not GOOD enough. And it's not just my writing honestly, it's all build up from when I was very young. When you are constantly told you aren't good enough for stupid school reasons at the time, that you have to have special classes because you don't learn as quickly as the other kids. Yeah, it hurt at the time, but it just made me stubborn. I wanted to show I could learn like the regular kids and even got out of those classes into regular education
But back to writing. Sure, people like my stories. I get a decent like/dislike ratio, but I've been discouraged lately. There's a lot of newer author's that are talented and I feel like my time, has passed me. Maybe it's time to pass the torch, and focus on reviewing.
I don't know.

I love making my stupidest ideas into a tangible form I can read. Some get good reactions. Some nothing but hate, but so long as I like reading it thats all I care about
Ultimately, it’s your decision, but if you have stories you want to tell just remember you are the only one who can write them the way you will. Write for yourself, not for others. Their enjoyment is just a bonus :>
Someone once told me that writing is about you doing what you like. And if it still makes you happy and it's still something you like...dont stop.
If you enjoy writing for the sake of your love of writing then I suggest keep writing. But, if anything, I say take some time off. Take a step back and enjoy yourself with other things because you sound, sorry if I misinterpret this, burnt out.
Then, when you’re ready to come back on your own time, do so.
I don’t know what to say other than what already has been said. If you like writing then keep it up and if you are having some burnout then take a nice breather.
I think you're really good at writing stories, you have your own voice and it's a really good one
Your stories are comfortable to read. I like the "at home" feeling they give.
In regards to what your feeling, I understand all to well. It's a rough patch to be in.

What they said! I think that you should write because you have a passion for it and enjoy it and want to write. Not because it has to match up with some standard right away. Everybody is on their own journey and improves at their own pace, and I feel like this is one of those things where you should enjoy the process as much as the outcome.
I may not always have been around for all your projects, but you're a cool and inspirational person Nailah, who's taken the time to build something great. A cozy community. If you need to take some time to think about what you really enjoy doing or want to do, or just for the sake of taking a break, that's totally fine! But please don't be put down by the apparent disapproval of others! This is your craft. And if you're worried it's not good enough, there is always something different that can be tried and a way to make things better. You've already accomplished a lot, and you should be proud of that.
