Hi, folks!
Sorry to drop this on you with almost no warning, but there's a new chapter of Sensation: Appleloosa! Go give it a read! :D

This chapter has been sitting at nearly completed since around April. Why didn't I publish it sooner? Well, there are a couple reasons for that. First, we moved recently, because my husband and I are expecting our first baby (a boy!) in December. There have been a *lot* of changes, and after some unpleasantness at our old place, we found that moving has been a near full-time job.
The other reason is more psychological. You can call it the Yips or whatever you'd like, but ever since the pandemic, I've run into the thought mode of, "Does anybody still even like what I write?" I realize that's a very negative thing to think, but I'm guessing most authors on here have struggled with it from time to time. The other facet of this is knowing that I'm more than a bit rusty. Sensation has been such a passion project, and I've never wanted it to be anything less than as perfect as I can make it. While that attitude can lead to some of the best parts of my story, it also holds me back when I know that not every chapter is as good as it possibly could be. This week, I finally told myself, "I'm scared to publish this, but I'm going to do it anyway."

I’m glad you’re still writing, I might not get to the new chapter right away. And moving is a pain. I moved halfway across the country try last year (although I didn’t have a bunch of stuff) and it was annoying. And congrats on the kid.

Thanks! It feels good to be back. I've got another project for Ciderfest, and then I plan on doing more Sensation.
