    FiO: Rebirth

I have the story completely outlined, I'd expect it to be about 30k words, staring Lost Legacy visiting Kimberly, South Africa in the year 2030 and interacting with the humans of the Outer Realm as humanity slowly dwindles on its last legs.

    One last FiO story

I might do one last (long, novel length) FiO story, just to tie up everything about Summer's Edge. If I do, it'll be a direct sequel to both Changing Tides and Third Wheel, following the Equestrian born pony Lost Legacy, who is disillusioned with Equestria, Celestia, and satisfaction, and so spends time in the Outer Realm (sometime in the 2030s to 2050s) to try to find satisfaction and meaning

    Changing Tides

It's finished! The story is completely finished, and simply needs to be uploaded to FimFiction! I'm not gonna lie, I cried writing the final scene of the last chapter, but I think it ends exactly how it should. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out!

Mind Over Matter Later Chapters · 10:25am Sep 29th, 2021

Soooooo... I'm probably going to delete the later chapters (post time skip) because I didn't do all of what I wanted to do with those and... it just ends so awkwardly because of it. The ending where it originally was should've been the final ending, honestly. Sorry.

Why not simply label them as non-canon or move them over to a separate story?

i can understand it, though some people may be annoyed by this.

I remember first reading the story was quite the slog, but rewarding in the end. Re-reading it with the new chapters didn't really feel the same way.

Sorry for surprise comment on a nearly two-year-old blog post.
I was wondering what happened to the rest of the story, because I remembered reading through it previously, and thought it'd been longer at that time. I think it was the later chapters that spoiled the mood and made me unable to fully like it, but re-reading it now—because of one of your other stories—I was able to say, "Yes, I can favourite and endorse it with a thumbs-up."

The later chapters basically tried to extend a story that was already finished, and focused on Leo being a little older, and unfortunately halfway through writing it, I came to a spot where it either had to end or go into really dark stuff.

Was a portion where Leo faced relapse after an accident involving a Pegasus friend and a fall from great heights, if I'm not mistaken?

Yes, it was something like that, and unfortunately, unless it got really deep into dark stuff, it wasn't going to work.
