Proposal, Movie, And Writing Updates · 3:03pm Sep 27th, 2021
So first things first, does anyone remember when I proposed to my editor/girlfriend two years ago? Well when the two of us were discussing our stories together, I cam up with the idea that one of my male characters proposes to one of my female characters, then a few weeks later she proposed back to him to make sure he gets the same wonderful experience. This idea was so popular with her that, in order to celebrate my birthday this coming Tuesday, she decided to set up a pun-filled scavenger hunt, which ended in her proposing to me! 
Yes, the love of my life, who I am already engaged, proposed to me. Now we're super engaged! (is that a thing? I want that to be a thing)! I don't actually have a ring yet because she couldn't decide on which one to get me, but know I will make sure to post a picture once I get one. It was such a wonderful surprise that I'm still smiling even just thinking about it. Thank you to my wonderful angel for such an amazing gift.
In other news, the movie came out, and dang was it better than I was expecting! I thought it would be good based on what I had seen of it, but it was really much better than I thought it would be. The characters were incredibly entertaining (Izzy is definitely my favorite so far, though her and Sunny are just so CUTE!!!), the plot was good and well paced, and the movie did a great job of referencing G4 without being overly reliant on it. It also told a satisfying story which wrapped up nicely while still leaving me excited to explore this world even more. I honestly loved it overall and can't wait for the rest of G5!
And now for an update on my stories. While I currently have two chapters in editing (my new project and the next chapter of How to meet the parents), I will say that my writing will unfortunately be slower in the coming months. I am both working a part time job and working in a practicum in my maters program that requires roughly 15 hours a week. I don't plan to fully stop writing, but I will have a lot less free time than I would like and so it will likely take me longer to get things out. Sorry

As for the Movie, I had to watch it through short clips on Youtube but was able to see the whole thing and I did very well enjoy it, loved the Mane Five (though Sunny and Izzy endeared themselves to me long ago
). Wonder what awaits them next.
I can understand what you mean regarding your stories, I'm on a dry spell right now and it's driving me crazy. Shame it will be slower but what can you do, but I am waiting and really looking forward to the next chapter of How to meet the parents, but take your time if you need it. I can wait.
