Just watched the movie... (SPOILERS) · 8:26pm Sep 24th, 2021
And it was better than I thought it was gonna be. 
The characters had distinct and interesting personalities, the jokes were mostly good and even the songs were catchy ear worms. 
I look forward to seeing where they'll take G.5 next! And plans for a whole series yet? 
Couple of issues with the ending, though:
1. Already making Sunny an alicorn ALREADY seems a bit much. Granted, they were pretty much a stick-on pair of wings and horn, but still.... I guess the merchandising peeps have gotta have their way! 
2. That Goo Blaster machine seemed pretty lame compared to the EPIC laser blast fights we got in the previous incarnation. Now that the magic has returned, hopefully we'll see more ambitious battles in the future rather than them sanitising it 'for da kids'. 
Oh, and my condolences but all pony butt lovers on the lack of said orifice on the new generation of equines. Still, you goy that one line in one of the songs, so it's all good. Right? Right.

I don't think Sunny is actually an Alicorn at the end. Considering how glowing and translucent the wings and horn are, I think they're just temporary
As for the movie as a whole, as someone who loves the 2017 movie, this one is better in every way, which I wasn't expecting
Just watched it a few hours ago & it was a ton of fun! It really got their hooks on me with the WTF moment in the first few minutes & it never let go till the end!
Looking forward to see what the regular series will bring when it airs!

And, agreed. It was better than the other movie, though not by much. I don't think it was 'great' like some other commentators stated, just pretty good. But then again, I'd say the same thing about the first 2 eps of FIM. And we know how that turned out...
It was an OK movie not the worst I did like the characters the only thing is it just moved way too fast

What higher purpose is there than selling tat?
This movie stands as an indictment of everything that came before, and lays bare how utterly worthless it was, storytelling-wise, character-wise, in every aspect.
I admit that when I first saw the CGI style I didn’t think I’d like the movie but then I watched it and I was pleasantly surprised, which is to say I loved it! I personally am looking forward to where this goes.
