“I could’ve sworn we had dozens of grape jelly jars left in here!”
“…Brother? We have a uh… situation in the back room.”
“Which back room? What situation?”
The two brothers entered the room, trying to trek through the pool of purple slime that almost reached their knees. Griff and Melody were there, watching a small, limbless purple blob happily bouncing around in the jelly substance, along with a few other familiarly colored blobs.
“Oh, hey, Pharynx! Do you like the new hive pool? Discord made it for us!”
“Flutterwings, come up so I can see you!”
“Relax, I already got this covered. Come here, Flutterbug.”
The blob moved towards him, and he picked it up in his hands.
“You sure you don’t wanna take a dip? It’s really pleasing.”
“Please, just change back.”
“Yeesh, what the hell is your problem?”
“Yeah, she’s so cute when she’s like this!” Melody reached over to squish the Flutterblob.
Well, she squished a little too hard.
“Bleeeeaaaugh!” she spewed out a purple slimy substance over the two, who yelped and flinched as soon as they were hit.
“Flutterwings!” Pharynx scolded as he and Thorax stepped back.
“…oopsies.”
