Okay, the audience rating is kind of high when compared to The Last Jedi, Chibnall-era Doctor Who, and Masters of the Universe: Revelations but I'm pretty sure that will change over time. And if it doesn't...well...you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

I kid you not, Sunny turns into an alicorn near the end. And it is not the funniest shit I've ever seen.

Unsurprisingly, that particular twist can be guessed by this clip foreshadowing it:

Oh, and another problem I have with this movie. With the possible exception of Hitch, all the main characters are carbon copies of the Mane Six. Think about it, Sunny is Twilight (which, from a certain point of view, makes them early rumours about G5 Twilight being an Earth pony true), Izzy is Pinkie Pie, Pipp is Rarity, and Zipp is Rainbow Dash. New generation, my arse. They're just retreading old ground and repackaging it so no-one would notice.

But I noticed. And unless a sizeable portion of the fandom agrees with my points, I think it would be safe to say I have definitely lived long enough to see myself become the villain.

Anyway, I would love to continue rambling on about my displeasure of G5 but I got a tummy bug to sleep off and I'd rather not wait for my abdominal pains to resurface.
