"Intelligence isn't something that's measured merely by an IQ number or a test grade, it's demonstrated and shown through our personality and lifestyle." Many if not all American Schools and our education system would disagree with that statement, and I disagree with theirs.
A small bit of advice for them: A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority. Just some food for thought for those holier than thou schmucks.
Their expectations and desires on graduation caps and gowns and their diplomacies only hide their real insecurities; a compensation for something they either lack or want to improve themselves upon. They live in what I've come to call the illusion of intelligence.
Doing everything they often do makes them feel intelligent without really being intelligent. Ironic, in a place where such intelligence should thrive without cease. Then, they expect you to follow their status quo as if that's the- what's that word I'm looking for? Hip? Yeah, the hip thing to be doing.
If you're not doing what they're doing, then you're stupid and do not deserve your education. You're a recusant towards their authority, they do not like this, not one bit. Obedient students get the gold stars, right? But what of their actual abilities to think and decide for themselves? Has that become so obsolete now that it rarely matters anymore?
I was cheated of my education because I did not follow their idiosyncrasies and their staunch beliefs, and so I do believe that it's pretty obvious that I did not receive a gold star. I got many pink slips however, for whatever that's worth.
