Hi, everyone.
I've had a lot of supporters over the years. I've also had a lot of detractors.
It's honestly been great, but I've kind of left the fandom for a long while now. Well, what have I been up to? I got a new job a couple years ago (around the time I left) so that's taken a lot of my time.
Recently, I've decided to start writing again. But not really ponies this time. This time, I decided I'd just write for me, just do something that I've always wanted to, get out a bit of Fantasy Satire. No more pressure, no more big baggage.
I just wanted to make this blog post to tell anyone who might be interested that I've started a Wattpad and I'm going to (try) to write stuff there when I can. It won't be regular updates, and I make no promises, but it'll be fun and it'll be cool.
And hey, if you wanted to take a gander, leave a comment, poke me in the mistakes or whatever, that's really lovely jubblies. As always, I'm thankful for every view and comment I get, because I'm a dirty attention whore who needs to bathe in mommy's delicious, nourishing breast milk.

I remember reading Diaries of an Equestrian Overlord during the Gdoc days, before fimfiction was a thing and I was in my formative fandom years. I never knew that was you until clicking on the story tab just now. And Dust and Harmony retains a strong foothold in my favorites list as a mighty and gritty story.

If you're looking into really kickstarting writing again, may I suggest National Novel Writing Month a.k.a. 'NaNoWriMo'?

It's a self-administered challenge to write a 50k novel in 30 days over the course of November, no actual prizes besides having written a novel of your own but also costs nothing to participate in.

Your prose and ability to write enthralling stories outstands mere mares, so I'd fellow your writing even beyond this carcass.
With that being said, I prefer AO3 over Wattpad as Wattpad's UI makes me sad. Do consider it if you ever wanna dump stories, as it's a lot easier to navigate. I'll still shower you in milk though.

Hi! That's a good one. I am aware of it, but here's the thing, my job's kinda intense =) I actually work 6 days a week and have very little time for myself. So I wouldn't be able to commit. Therefore, my new self-start is just really for myself only at my own time without the pressure of writing for a crowd. Doesn't mean I don't want people to enjoy it, but I don't want this hobby to become a job as well, you know what I mean? =)
But thanks for the thought, though! I appreciate the advice even though it doesn't really work for my situation.

Edit: Okay, I notice that A03 is more for fandoms, yeah? I'm writing original stuff, so maybe wattpad is a little better at the moment. =)

This is true, but people do put original works on there. Also, I actually have an account on AO3, unlike Wattpad, so I'd have a much easier time flinging mashed potatoes at you that way.

AO3 is dominated by fandom stuff, but it's also where people post original works since it's (unfortunately) the defacto Fanfic dot org now. A lot more people use it by proxy, so I feel like your works would have a lot easier time there by using it.
