i hate how the editing button and publish button are next to each other

i legit just wanted to edit my story

add in the in progress

then i publish a chapter with the reminder note in the chapter title

fuck

It's okay. I kind of got the feeling you weren't really focusing on it, either tired or distracted? I write how you did in the A/N and towards the end of the chapter when I'm tired, and have seen other people write like that when they're tired or distracted.

I nearly do that so, so much I have several like 'notes and test' chapters where I stick my words and always gotta double check and recheck i dont accidentally post them

i have literally done this two times now.

Especially on average I like editing in the fimfiction text editor.

Yeah, shit happens. I've accidentally hit the Publish button before. No worries.

That's one of the reasons why I do all my editing in GoogleDocs outside the site.

Make sure you delete that chapter and copy everything over into a new instance of a chapter. Otherwise, you will not get an update when you publish that chapter again. It’s annoying, and it’s happened to me before.

It should be integrated a warning pop up when you press publish to confirm if you really want to publish.
