    Mostly Confused

So back after another hiatus and thought I'd do a little writing again in the ol online diary. Both a lot has happened and nothing at all which I found is a common trend in life where progress is almost stagnant for reasons outside of our control, but for a week I was able to rein that in. Did the modeling thing again and I learned how to do humans now. Blender has never been something I took too

    Scheduled Program Returns

So last blog I posted wasn't a real update. It was generally a way to showcase how I throw ideas at a wall until something sticks. Allow everything to spiderweb. Now that's all well and good, but it was a giant wall of text with a story in its own right trying to detail the plot and setting of an RP while also giving an inside look on some characters. It was a condensed mess and even condensed it

Roleplaying my Lazy way to write

So I decided I should talk about one of the ways I've kept up writing. I've mostly done Discord RP's where the entire thing is text based with no stats or anything like that even during combat and the like. Now I have also done a game or two of D&D where the RP is more verbal with a stat sheet and its more a game than a co-op writing garbage dump sort of deal. It's one way of constantly polishing

    Midnight Oil

I'm writing this up at about 3 in the mornin. Seems as good a time as any to reminisce about older stuff that I used to know. Stuff I used to do really, flipped back through old blogs again and my eyes drift down to the views that make them up. Then I look at the latest ones, man the numbers. Part of me cares, cause I looked to begin with, so I want to go out and advertise myself to build

Once again a month has flown on past. I'm proud to say both a lot and nothing at all have happened since. Read a few fics that were really good as per my usual suggestion box I'll supply a few links right here: Sundowner, Daily Equestria Life With Monster Girl, and The Witch of the Everfree. Additionally I've also been talking to Wezza about his own fic My Little Pokemon Sun and Moon. I was mostly there for him to bounce ideas off of, but it twas nice.

Now for things unrelated to the joys of fanfiction, we loop back around to news of my game dev stuff. I did some research and wanted to go deeper into preproduction, so I started playing games on stream that I could use as a reference. Suffice to say playing a modded DS2 has been interesting. That's the game of the franchise that had the most issues, but it had good points, so I wanted to see how the modding community has tried to fix those poor threads. The little changes that drastically change the experience has put some things into perspective to say the least. Oh but while I was doing my preproduction one of my friends decided that he'd send me his singular message for the month in the discord server I use for all my pitched games and outlines I've made for em. It's gotten rather large with many projects becoming rather detailed, but scrapped purely due to being too large a scope for one person. Apparently one of those ideas, someone else has picked up and have already made a game for it.

Now suffice to say the pitch I had made nearly 2 years ago, was fairly simple. If I did try to make the game I pitched back then it would be a very different game, but my initial reaction before I actually looked into how it worked was fuck. It was a harrowing reminder that just because I can come up with these ideas doesn't mean someone else can't, and if I don't do it, someone else will. So with my skills being rather...subpar, partially due to limited daily investment if that, I did come up with a conclusion that I should just pay someone to make what I wanna make. Definitely a spur of the moment thing there, especially since that's a huge investment that probably won't be profitable. Yet despite that, it's still on my mind. Saving up my money like a madman these past few years, not really spending it on anything but the occasional once a month game or essentials, I certainly have some money to spend. The fact its feasible makes me worried. Sometimes you just want to roll those dice.
