George Orwell fought in the Spanish Civil War

“Early in life I have noticed that no event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper, but in Spain, for the first time, I saw newspaper reports which did not bear any relation to the facts, not even the relationship which is implied in an ordinary lie. I saw great battles reported where there had been no fighting, and complete silence where hundreds of men had been killed. I saw troops who

    Anybody remember Jericho?

Does anyone remember a TV series back in 06 called Jericho? About a small Kansas town trying to survive after 23 American cities are nuked by an unknown power. I also just learned that Jericho's cliffhanger ending from the tv

Appendectomies bloody suck · 12:00am Aug 16th, 2021

So just as I started getting new cameras to work on my video of my Kalash build, I come down with severe appendicitis. I swear at first I thought it was just a stomach flu. Maybe miss a few days of work, then get right to work filming. Only for the next day to notice that my gut has severely inflamed, and if pressure was applied, it felt like I was being stabbed.

One trip to the ER later, now I have 3 slices in my abdomen, and am forced to lay in a hospital bed with next to no appetite, nurses, bless them, badgering me to eat, I've missed a week of work, have to miss another, then do a week of half days before I'm back to normal.

Doctors have kept me here because of my white blood cell count. Which, pre op, was 25k. Throughout the week it hovered around 17k. They don't want to let me go until it drops to 10k.
