A little help with my HiE story · 8:59am Aug 15th, 2021
I've been writing for a while now and I've so far made 3 stories, one of them being a crossover with Kengan Ashura.
I've rewritten the first chapter and added more details about my OCs, but I can't decide on the story itself. Should it be anthro or normal ponies?
When I started I wanted this story to be the first of mine to have regular ponies, but then I got unsure and added the anthro tag.
And then I downloaded the Avatar Maker app and created "Pony Forms" for my human characters. Now I'm wondering if they should even remain humans.
So I'm asking those that have read the first chapter of "HiE: The Kure of Ponyville", what do you think?
Humans surrounded by regular ponies?
Humans surrounded by anthro ponies?
Humans transformed to regular ponies?
Or Humans transformed to anthro ponies?
Hello, there. Ok, now please keep in mind. I never watch the anime or read the manga. The only thing I know is from the wiki. But from the looks of it. Its going to involve a lot of fist fighting and than some.
So either go with "Humans surrounded by anthro ponies" or Humans transformed to anthro ponies.
Just to make it easy for yourself in terms how the characters go about fighting in hand to hand combat and what not. And basically work from there. And used whatever reference you can find.
Hopes this helps, friend.
I would go with Humans surrounded by anthro ponies, or Humans transformed into anthro ponies.
I would go with Humans surrounded by anthro ponies, or Humans transformed into anthro ponies.
Hi there. I hope I'm not too late to the party. Wandered here by chance and decided to respond to your question, since this one actually comes up a lot. The thing with Anthro is that it tends to be associated with sexual and oftentimes pornographic content--since, you know, the human parts can then come into play better than the horse parts. In other words, having the tag on your story already puts your story in danger of being considered one of these fics. So, think about if you want your story to be perceived as such. Second, people sometimes use anthros instead of ponies as an easy way out so that they don't need to deal with the question of how a creature without hands can operate guns, vehicles, and so on. Some then see anthros as a lazy way of by-passing the challenge posed by the differences in anatomy. I have to agree that coming up with an explanation of how ponies can do (insert any kind of action here) is usually far more rewarding and interesting.
Personally, I don't mind anthros in any kind of story, though as far as some general consensus goes, you'll have an easier time sticking either to normal ponies or humans.
