August Report: Lots of Things to Come · 4:52pm Aug 1st, 2021
Hey guys, Sunlight Rays here, and I'm back for a brief update on how things are going.
The last blog was a bit of a vent, and I apologize if I made anyone uncomfortable with it. I assure you I'm feeling better. Not substantially, but at least by a bit.
That being said, it's time for the updates. So past Monday, July 26th was my 19th birthday. Yup, that's right, it's been 19 years (and 6 days at the time of this writing) ever since I started existing on planet Earth. My family and I had fun with each other, enjoying each other's company and of course eating cake. I can't miss out on the cake, now can I?
So what's next? I've been mulling over that question several times in my mind. Well, first and foremost would be getting ready for college applications. I'm preparing to apply for colleges in the US. Since the Early Action/Early Decision application deadline is November 1st, I'd better get my personal statement, resume, supplemental essays, etc., ready. That means a lot of listening to sessions hosted by colleges and agonizing over how to present me to the universities I wish to apply to, and also a lot of self-reflecting. Those personal essays aren't going to write themselves, you know.
As you can probably guess, things will get a lot busier for me for the next few months. But worry not. It does not mean I will take a break from writing stories. In fact, at this moment, I have a pegasus-centered story in the works, and another story featuring our beloved bookhorse is scheduled to come in October.
There are many more things that I've mused over during my brainstorming sessions, things that would make this blog way too long. You can expect me to talk about those in a separate blog post, though.
And, before I crash on my bed for the night, I shall say one last thing.
I wish good luck to you, to all of you out there who are living life in your own way. I assure you that, after you finish your day and put your weary body to sleep, you will never be alone in your dreams, for the real achievements we've made in our lives are the friends we've made along the way.
Sunlight Rays out.
