Well, I did two stupids.
1) Rose. Is a character in the show. I COMPLETELY forgot that name belonged to a canonical background character. And with a very similar color scheme, except her coat is more of a cream color and her mane has two tones of red.
Damn. I actually considered going back and changing her cutie mark and name, but decided against it. The story is already out and I doubt anyone thought MMMA's Rose is supposed to be the same flower mare from Ponyville. Ponies can have the same name, especially if one is just an alias or the two live in completely different places.
2) Half the next chapter is going to be our two "heroes" making plans and figuring out how their partnership is going to work. Then their first photoshoot.
Honestly, I feel like I REALLY screwed up. Shouldn't this be in the first chapter when they are making the deal? I'm actually considering shoving this chunk of plan talk into the first chapter and republishing it. A brute force solution that's FAR from ideal. I really don't want to do that.
The alternative solution is letting the second chapter be pretty long and the first entire half is just our duo figuring things out. Maybe this will become the style of the story. Each chapter will start with Upscale and Rose making plans or talking about how the last shoot went. Then the second half will be the next shoot with all its lewd and sexy glory. Maybe it will work out. I do prefer a slower paced smut myself, but it still feels like a colossal blunder. An amateur mistake.

Other than that, all I can say is... WOW. I expected maybe 10 likes before I got the next chapter out and officially added it to "Ponies, Big and Small". (Thank you for NOT adding it for me. I want to get the next chapter out before trying to push it.) I know 30 likes, 2 comments, and only 500 views seems like nothing for many authors, but it feels pretty substantial to me. Especially when none of the sex is out yet. Thank you all for the immediate interest and please know I am working hard on the next chapter, though I'm being slowed down by my new keyboard. It has a slightly different design with the keys sticking up much higher than the previous. I'm facing a constant war with typos and it is very annoying. I am a better typist than this, I swear!
Plans for this story? Not much. Other than the macro theme, I intend to keep the sex pretty vanilla. So don't go expecting stuff like vore or anything in the cruel or unaware direction. Though I have thought about at least one macro stallion shoot... but not sure if I want to throw that at the audience. The story has "Mare" in the title after all.
I'm also really starting to develop this dirty talk humor in the story. Personally I find even discussing my fetishes very embarrassing. It's weird to talk about your interests. But for those who work in the sex industry, it must be entirely normal vocabulary. So I'm trying to incorporate that kind of dialog from my characters. They are both involved in the sex industry after all, they should be more comfortable than the average person using smut talk. But I just find it so funny whenever I have them drop a weird line. Here's a spoiler for you to get what I mean:
"You're going to knit me a scarf?" she grinned teasingly.
"A big scarf. That you're going to hide your privates with," he stated matter-of-factly.
A bright red blush lit up Rose's entire face. She was not prepared for that level of comeback from this pony. "You can't just say that," she hissed back.
Upscale beamed, proud he could make her squirm. "Tomorrow I'm going to take pictures of your giant pussy. So go ahead and make fun of my knitting."
