Need Feedback- HPat6OW Rewrite, try to Continue, or cancel? · 4:24am Jul 11th, 2021
So, I'll state front and center, my general motivation to write has been wanning, not just for this story but for other things as well. Even my own Undertale AU. But its also been affecting this, and it hasn't been helped by the fact that I've been kind of stumped with how to begin the next chapter (I've tried writing it out about five times now)
I have no desire to cancel/drop this story. Aside from my Undertale AU, its the only story thing currently I have much interest in seeking to do more with. But I am no longer sure if I've got a good premise or am going the right direction with this.
I recently however had an idea pop into my head, one that maybe I could do more with. Maybe I've been overthinking some of this stuff or over complicating things in some of my brainstorming for further into the story. The idea involves taking the mane six, not from the middle of season 3, but instead grabbing them after the sonic rainboom that unlocks their talents and connects them as the bearers of the Elements of Harmony.
I think I might be able to do much more interesting stuff with such, as they'll share a connection but be younger, and I won't have to deal with trying to figure out weird memory shenanigans. Plus, I may be able to do something more interesting with Equestria as well on the side.
What do folks think? Should I consider rewriting the story? It'd take time, and I'd make sure to post when each Chapter is rewritten. I could also scrap this and start again with a different title if I choose to pursue this idea.
Or I could try to continue the story as is, though I'm not sure how well I'll do on that front.
its already a great story , I'm split between continue as is and a rewrite , but please don't scrap this story !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you continue it, you were just getting to the good parts. However, if you really don't think you can continue writing it as-is, then your other idea sounds just as cool.
