Headcanon time

As a nymph, Thorax was considered the “weird and creepy kid” in the hive. Weird, because he was highly empathic and a pacifist, and creepy, because being an empath meant he was more aware of everyone's emotions and can read people very easily, which creeped people out.

But also, creepy because he would say some…concerning things. Like, you know those toddlers that are babbling and they say something that’s genuinely terrifying and make you think they were possessed but really they don’t understand what they are saying in the first place? Yeah…that was Thorax.

Don’t worry, he grew out of that…probably.
