Becoming Fluttershy · 8:52am Jul 5th, 2021
I'm going to finish Becoming Fluttershy this year.
When I started writing this story, I was legally male. Erica was just a name I picked for the main character because my middle name back then was Eric. I was a miserable lonely frustrated person who worked too much and had been convinced to watch My Little Pony by their girlfriend.
Since then, I've transitioned, changed my name to Erica, published a novel, found a job I enjoy, and along the way made many friends. I still have troubles, I have things I fight with, but I've come so so far.
And I know without a doubt I wouldn't have made it without Fluttershy.
So I want to finish the story that set me on this path. I've got a plan. It's probably not going to be popular, it's not going to fit the mold for Ponies on Earth fics. But it'll be kind, and the right thing to do.
Then, when I'm done, I'll go back to writing sexy Luna romance fics hehehe.
I'll read it. And congratulations on finding your true self.
Congrats on finding your conviction.
Congrats on having the courage and conviction to be true to yourself. I have immense respect for those who are able to make it through such a difficult journey as it's not something anyone can take, or do, lightly. You should be very proud of yourself and I hope things go well for you, and that you continue to get the support you need from the people around you to manage your ongoing troubles.
Oh man, it's been a long run, huh? I'm so excited that you're bringing Becoming Fluttershy to its full conclusion; it's an amazing story by an amazing author! Your strength of character and conviction of will is an inspiration to myself and many others. To be able to call myself a friend to Erica is the highest of honors.
Keep being awesome, Hope.

To be given such compliments by the author who started the stone rolling makes me very very happy thank you so much!
Regardless of whatever happens with this shitshow of a fandom, the fact that ponies have helped so many people through tough parts of their lives brings me a lot of joy. Congratulations and all that jazz. Best of luck finishing your story.
