Just a quick thing

To preempt any speculation about the description I put on today's story, I'm not going anywhere.

As someone who's lived through several iterations of pony, this isn't my first time seeing a generational change happen - having said that, this one hits pretty hard for me. G4 carried me through one of the roughest times in my life, literally seeing me through my worst, and I'm eternally grateful for that. Yeah, I know it sounds sappy, but it's true. I just wanted to say that regardless of what happens with G5, I ain't going anywhere.

In a bittersweet way, it's not a bad thing. Hasbro has left G4 to us, the people who care most about it, so we'll get to carry on its legacy. To all my creators out there, we bear the burden now. Whether we write, sing, draw, or animate, regardless of if you make smutty or wholesome stuff, we can keep this glorious little fandom alive.

Anyhow, that's enough of my ramblings for now.
Stay classy, have a great 4th of July weekend (or Canada day for you leaf folks), and always remember that you're awesome.

My sentiments exactly! This May officially makes ten years since I became a Brony. Ten. Fucking years. That’s almost half my life! And while I only started getting involved with the fandom around four or so years ago, it’s been amazing. We’ve all been on this turbulent magical ride of hellacious badassery. Many have stumbled and sadly lost their taste for it, and that dismays me, but I’m elated to see there’s still many left that are so passionate about their shared love for these technicolor horses.

I think it’s safe to say anyone still in the fandom these days is liable to stay, at least with G4 content. We’ve been through thick and thin and we ain’t about to go now! I’m with you in the regard that I’m here till the ride comes to an end, whatever that may be. I’ve only ever known G4 but I hope they learn the good and bad from it and push forward to new and exciting adventures!
