Let's Talk: Misty Fly · 11:37pm Jun 29th, 2021
Hey y'all, and welcome to another of my brain dumps. As promised, I am doing another Let's Talk. Again, I am taking the liberty of building her physical characteristics to what I think suits her. With Misty however, I will give my opinion on the show version of her, as well as tailoring her personality to how I will portray it in my stories. So here we go:
Physical Characteristics: I think that Misty would be average sized for a mare. She'd be less sleek, and more sturdy than other mares. She has very strong wings, and is pretty fast.
Opinion: Misty appears to be kind of mean in the show if I'm going to be perfectly honest. Yes there was the more aggressive teasing of Rainbow in Newbie Dash, but also seemed kind of rude at the beginning of Top Bolt. She seems like a badass and I like her, but she has had her moments.
Tailored Personality: In my stories, I will portray Misty in this way. I think that she'd be a total badass, and really tough. No-nonsense, but also is good at having fun. She seems like the type of pony to enjoy flower picking, or just walking in a meadow(hence her butterfly cutie mark). She can have a really caring and protective side, but it only comes out when she sees a pony in distress.
Backstory: I actually think that Misty would have been born on the ground. Her mother is a pegasus and her father is an earth pony. Raised as an only filly in a more remote town like Ponyville, she started getting into flying through nature. Kind of like a reversed Fluttershy story. She had always known nature and the meadows of her town, but using her wings to fly through the grass and trees is what sparked her love of extreme flyers.
And that's Misty! Again, the backstory is kind of vague, but I might expand upon that later.
