"Ugh, I am never going to get this done!" Smolder flopped down onto her bed, staring at her homework as it landed on her face. "Celly said she's not going to help this time... what do I do...?"
Apex then wandered into the room, towing a wagon behind him with a couple of his toys in it. Smolder sat up, saw him, and immediately grinned. Apex began arranging his toys on his bed, smiling.
"Heyyyyy, Apexxxxxx..." Smolder slid off her bed and went over to the desk. Apex glanced up at her. "You wanna have a pop quiz?"
"Okay?"
"Great! So, could you tell me what shape DNA is in?" Smolder asked, pulling out a pen.
"A double helix."
"And who discovered that?"
"Ros'lind Franklin!"
"And what does the abbreviation DNA stand for?" Smolder asked, quickly writing everything down.
"I...um..." Apex began fiddling with his hands. "The... um... the NA s'ands for Nucleic Acid... the R in 'RNA s'ands for...'oxic... no... Di...oh...Di'oxic Nucleic Acid?"
"Good enough, I'll take it!" Smolder agreed quickly. "Let's see...what's the largest crustacean on Earth?"
"The Coc'nut Crab, easy!"
"Heheh... okay, just a few more... Give the group names of these animals. Fish?"
"Sc'ools!"
"Wolves?"
"Packs, duh."
"Heh... crows?"
"A mur'er!"
"Ravens?"
"An unkin'ess!"
"Perfect!" Smolder cried, writing it down. "Thanks Apex!"
"Did I do good a' the quiz?"
"You sure did!"

Metamorphosis stood at the doorway, holding a basket of laundry. He set it down, picking Apex up. "Smolder, I've told you before, no using my kids to do your homework."
"Oh come on!"
"Sorry Smolder, but rules are rules." Metamorphosis said, walking off, carrying Apex.
"Daddy...? Wha' does the D in DN'A s'and for...?"
"Dioxyribonucleic acid." Metamorphosis whispered to him, booping him on the nose.
