Main character’s top 3 ship’s (my opinion) · 4:19pm Jun 22nd, 2021

I’ve seen a lot of people posting their ship opinions so I thought why not be an overachiever and do my top 3 for all of the main 9.

Twilight Sparkle:
3. Twilight X Moondancer: now this is a strange ship and I strongly dislike Moondancer but the lesbian vibes in that episode are next level + bedroom eyes + book horses should be with other book horses and overall it’s a cute ship.
2. Twilight X Sunburst: Once again i find myself pairing someone I dislike with Twilight but again they get along so well that it’s hard not to feel that shipping vibe and I just love the cute nerd feel to it + I think they’d be a less toxic couple then her and Moondancer.
1. Twilight X Tempest Shadow: I don’t know something about these 2 just makes them do shippable to me. Maybe it’s because Tara strong and Emily blunt being amazing voice actresses who nailed their roles or maybe it the tension between the hero and the villain mixed with the bedroom eyes in the ending Tempest scene but either way their my favorite Twilight ship.
Honorary mentions: Cadence: if she wasn’t with shining armor........, and Luna X Twilight: is a guilty pleasure.

Now the Rarity ships:
3. Rarity X Coco pummel: these 2 are absolutely adorable and I love seeing them together on screen + I think they would make a great couple.
2. Rarity X Fleur de lis: another guilty pleasure of mine is shipping the quiet rich girl with the fabulous fashionista and I have no reasons other then fanfiction and the fact their both successful and fabulous.
1. Rarity X Applejack: my first main character with main character ship on this list and one of my all time favorite ship’s. I just love the dynamic and the chemistry between these 2 + I’m a sucker for the country bumpkin falling in love with the city girl type romance + they have so many great “friendship” moments in the show it’s hard not to see the ship.
Honorary mentions: Fancy Pant’s: is a great pony and I think the best straight Rarity ship, and Ragamuffin: is such a funny character and though he only appears in EG he was hilarious with Rarity.

Using the whole Rarity is best with Applejack thing as a Segway into Applejack’s ships:
3. Applejack X Twilight: even though Applejack isn’t one of my top ships for Twilight I actually really like them as a couple overall and for me they beat out many of the other Applejack ship’s.
2. Applejack X Spike: though a strange concept these 2 actually stand up as a legitimate couple because Applejack is actually the least abusive and in fact the most kind to Spike besides Fluttershy and Spike seems to care about Applejack the most besides Rarity (current crush) and Twilight (sister) and overall I think their cute together.
1. Applejack X Rarity: is my go to Applejack and Rarity ship and is in my top 5 overall ships.
Honorary mentions: Fluttershy and Applejack: would make an adorable couple and would make most fans squee with their lovey dovey nature, and Rainbow Dash: are the most possible canon couple for Applejack and I like them but they just are to competitive with each other for a healthy relationship in my mind.

Pinkie pie Ship’s:
3. Pinkie Pie X Discord: they both are pure chaos and would be a great couple but we’re lucky Pinkie isn’t with Discord cause they’d conquer the universe with chaos and cake.
2. Pinkie Pie X Cheese Sandwhich: is an obvious coupling cause they are one of the few canon relationship’s in the show and are so similar their practically the same person.
1. Pinkie Pie X Prince Rutherford: are such a cute but strange pairing that I personally love the hell out of and think are one of the best interspecies relationships.
Honorary mention: Fluttershy: is someone so ground she might keep Pinkie’s craziness balanced out but their is the concern Pinkie would wear out or overtake Fluttershy in a relationship.

Fluttershy’s top 3 are next on the list:
3. Fluttershy X Tree Hugger: is an adorable little relationship and they have the same protect nature energy and they both have stated being a tree would be neat/cool.
2. Fluttershy X Octavia: another couple I have no reason for shipping but I just do enjoy the idea and the fanfiction of the British cello player and the woodland animal lover.
1. Fluttershy X Rainbow Dash: the contrast of their personality and the loving and protective nature Rainbow has with Fluttershy and the loving and more bold personality Fluttershy takes on when Rainbow Dash needs her help or suppport just makes them an all around joy to watch and read about.
Honorary mentions: I know this is a strange one but Angel Bunny: and her have such good chemistry and the inner most dark part of me ship’s them, Celestia: and her also have good on screen chemistry and moments when they rarely interact, and
Pinkie Pie: is also a good one as I mentioned in Pinkie’s honorary mentions.

Rainbow Dash’s ship’s:
3. Rainbow Dash X Spitfire: theirs that nice teammate, friends, and maybe more and they would look adorable and be a sports power couple.
2. Rainbow Dash X Gilda: I like these 2 being good friends and amazing allies but I love the idea of Rainbow choosing friends over Gilda and them getting back together later (free fanfic idea if anyone wants.) and they just fit for me.
1. Rainbow Dash X Fluttershy: I already explained on Fluttershy’s side of things but I just love want to say Flutterdash gang for life!!!!!
Honorary mentions: Soarin: is the best straight Rainbow Dash romance, Vapor Cloud: is an adorable and loving Fluttershy replacement, and then theirs Lightning Dust: the angry and reckless pony Gilda is another great slot but not as likable a ship as Gilda for me.

Spike has many ships but my 3 favorites are:
3. Spike X Gabby: is a great one and an interesting thing to examine and wrote about plus neither one gets that much screen time and both deserve to be treated better.
2. Spike X Starlight: is a great ship cause out of all the characters Spike treats Starlight with the most mutual respect and trust and is constantly trying to push her to be better. And Starlight is always their to call Spike on his crap and to try to support his various endeavors.
1. Spike X Sweetie Belle: are one of my all time favorite ships. And their interactions are fun light and full of banter when they are talking + much like him and Starlight they call each other out on their mistakes.
Honorary mentions: Ember: the reasoning is obvious, I don’t like to ship Spike as gay but Thorax, and Smolder: and his bond is also special.

Starlight’s ship’s:
3. Starlight X Sunset: I love their interaction’s and their teasing/ mentoring style even though it was only one episode and many fanfiction’s.
2. Starlight X Spike: for the same reasons that I have on the Spike X Starlight list.
1. Starlight X Trixie: is my favorite Starlight ship because of their bond and relatability makes them a joy. And I also appreciate how they actually bicker like an old married couple and actually fight making them more real and compelling. Overall a GREAT and POWERFUL Relationship.
Honorary mentions: Maud Pie: I love the dynamic and their overall relationship and fun back and forth and the fact she got Maud to SMILE. Granted a small smile but one of the best reaction’s Maud has had to anyone, Thorax: would be a really fun one to see because their already both adorable, Ember: another great one for Starlight’s harem, any of the Main 6: she could easily be shipped with any of them and I could see almost any of them working well.

Last but certainly not least Sunset Shimmer’s best ship’s and if I’m being honest these are the ones I’m the most set in. So without further ado the last 3:
3. Sunset X Flash Sentry: many people may hate me for this one but I just love them in legend of Everfree and the idea of them getting back together and having a cute relationship where they have
To work through their past issue’s
Is a fun thing for me to think about.
2. Sunset X Adagio: what can I say about this one.....
I just love their chemistry and Adagio’s lesbian vibes help contribute and their both sassy enough that they could handle each other when their being bitchy.
1. Sunset X Wallflower Blush: Adagio used to be number 1 Sunset ship but then Scampy attacked and I have been converted the invisible depressed teen with the now nice Ex mean girl. Also the look on Wallflower’s face when Sunset helps her up *Squee’s*
Honorary mentions: Starlight: and her are great concept for me, Twilight: and her are an alright ship definitely not my favorite but I do appreciate them,
Rainbow Dash: I have no canon reason’s but I still love them, and Trixie: another ship that spawned mostly from Forgotten Friendship but I’m not mad it spawned or that it exists.
