The Blue Box Conspiracy Theory · 6:21am Jun 19th, 2021
Okay, it's been about a solid week now and the internet won't shut up about it, so I'm gonna say something. So it's been a while since I've spoken on here and I'm now obligated to get my hands dirty. Recently, there have been rumors that this PS5 game called Abandoned is some sort of smokescreen for some brand new Silent Hill game being made by the former developer for Konami, Hideo Kojima. While I would love for this to be the case, I've got some issues with this. As most of you are aware, something bad happened between Kojima and Konami and they have split apart. But as for the former, he would join Sony Computer Entertainment and he would go on to make a game that we would come to know as Death Stranding (haven't beaten it, but I've got mixed feelings on the game). And now I'm hearing rumblings that there's this gaming company who just joined up Sony recently. They call themselves Blue Box Gaming Studios. And this game called Abandoned is being made by this developer named Hasan Kahraman. Don't know much about the company, but it's known for failed kickstarters and apps. But for some odd reason, the company is comprised of only Hasan Kahraman. Now I will not say that I don't believe anyone, but I have low expectations that we will ever see a remake of Silent Hill, let alone a Silent Hill game by itself. However, I did hear that Konami plans on outsourcing its IPs to different gaming companies. And so far, we got Getsu Fuma Den. So relations may have mended between the two. I did see a Death Stranding trailer where it pays homage to Metal Gear Solid and Sam Bridges jumps into a box like Solid Snake. But I don't know what to make of this. If this really is Silent Hill, would it really be made by Hideo Kojima? I know that I'm grasping at straws, but I just don't see how Konami would be willing to work with Kojima after what happened between them. I don't wanna be negative, but this is how I see it. I would love to be proven wrong. In fact, if you were to show me under either Kojima Productions or Konami, I would be overjoyed to see this new Silent Hill game. But as of right now, I just have low expectations that we'll ever see a Silent Hill game in the near future.
Do you think I'm being too negative with this? I don't like being negative. In fact, I hate being negative. In fact, I was very happy when we got a trailer to Elden Ring and Metroid Dread as well as a new trailer to Breath of the Wild 2. Plus, Microsoft did get me interested in Halo Infinite a bit (still waiting on Gears of War). But because of the times we're living in, it's a rare thing to be positive. Anyway, drop a comment and tell me your thoughts on this. It would be nice to chat with you.
Took me 115 hours to beat Breath of The Wild.

How many Shrines and Gold Turds did you find?

Between 75-80 on both. Blind playthrough.

So a long way to go?

I suppose. Been working on Let's Go, Eevee as well and only recently gained the Earth Badge from Giovanni (on the third try, surprisingly) though now I've got to grind levels as Giovanni's were roughly 5-7 levels higher than mine, but from what I can guess, the Elite Four will be a Marathon Battle and most likely will be 65-70 if not 80 in level.

Not a Pokemon guy, but I hope you get there.

Nor was I... not really. It's more to pass the time than heavy, obsessive interest (for context, before Let's Go, Eevee, the last, and only other Pokèmon game I played was Pokèmon Yellow. If I'm honest, this is the furthest I've gotten in a Pokèmon game).

I've played a handful, but they were mainly console games.
