A Fimfic Goal: Achived! + Random + Life +Updates · 4:43am Jun 13th, 2021
Hello all my lovely fans out there, how have you been? Hopefully, these hard times we are going through right now are treating you well? I've had some issues, but we can get to that after the announcement. One of my long-time goals on Fimfic has been achieved, a story of mine made it onto the featured list! *Squees* 
Might not be one of my longer stories, or one of the ones I've put the most work into, but certainly one I enjoyed working on (and good news, it isn't done yet! After the contest is over that it is in, I'll be adding another chapter, maybe two depending on how long it gets, to it. After all, gotta know what happens to them, right? ;) )
I am just SO excited to finally see one of my stories make it to the featured list and be on there for about 16 hours before it fell off. (Sure it was just the 'sandbox' list, but that is still an accomplishment to me!) I love you all and am grateful to anyone who read it in those early hours and helped it get featured. You all are the best! 
Along with that, I also got my first follower and supporter on Ko-fi! I forget if I ever mentioned I joined that in a blog post or just posted it on my profile. *Smiles sheepishly.* But *cough* here is the link again if anyone wants to look. *cough* https://ko-fi.com/queenchrysalisforever Not much on there at the moment, but now that I have a supporter things should change up at least a little bit. ;)
Lastly, before I get to the more serious stuff, I've passed 150 followers now too! (Little late on that but eh?) So thank you to all who have followed me. You all are awesome!
Now, to get to what I've been up to and the reason I've been so absent of late for any updates in general and in my stories. My dear followers, life has just not been that kind to me in the last year. I've been finding it hard to hold down a job- not long after the trial period has been up, they say sayonara to me and it's onto the job search once more. Job searching really stresses me out and depresses me, which has made it hard to write. My current job is looking good I think, but we shall see.
Along with that, I caught Covid in late February and went through that Tartarus, though thankfully my symptoms were no worse than a bad cold. A more recent injury to my hands, trigger finger I am thinking, has made it hard to write much of anything. (No insurance makes it hard to go to the doc and get things taken care of, so I just have to do what I can to heal on my own.)
Though the biggest thing other than the job problems is probably a form of depression (as far as I can self-diagnose.) With my and my roomie's current schedules, we don't see each other awake often, and when we do it is with typical roommate arguing. There are also so few hours in the evening after work to do anything with someone else, if I had someone else to do things with. (Hard part of being an introvert sometimes, the friends you have are few and far between, or, they are 90% online and far enough away you can't actually meet them in person or spend time with them offline.) I have my good days and bad, but I am trying to have better days overall.
Which is much of why I entered Nailah's contest (even if I didn't finish the entire story in time for it) to get myself back into writing again. Do something I love, that can help me feel better about my personal problems at least a little. Having all the above happen in one day (featured and my first Ko-fi supporter) after I have been feeling extremely stressed and down lately, really warmed my heart and made my day all that much better.

Now, as for updates on current incomplete stories (and sequels), they are coming along, slowly. I'll be finishing Streaks of Sunlight first. Will probably post the next chapter and maybe the rest of it within two weeks or so. (I am having some art commissioned for an original cover for the story, so I will publish the next chapter/s when the art is done and I update the cover photo.)
For Behind the Curtains, still planning on continuing this one, sometime this early summer I hope to have the next chapter out for it. I see it having at least 3-5 more chapters before the end but that might change.
The Protector- I do still want to finish this one, especially with it being primarily all OC's and original with that, I am just stuck on working some things out with it, so at this time I am not sure when it will next be updated.
Cozy Memories Sequel- I am still working on ideas of how I want this to go, so at this time I am planning to write the sequel, but not sure when at this time.
Lingmare IV sequel- Now this one might come sooner than you realize! I know, surprise right? Only recently I decided I wanted to write a sequel for it! There is a contest currently going on that goes to the end of July. My idea for the sequel for this would work for that contest, so it all depends on if I can get the idea written down in time for that. If I can, expect it sometime in July! :D
Lastly, Long Live the Queen sequel. I know you all have been waiting a LONG time for this (well, a year and some change) and it is in the works, I'm just struggling with a few ideas for it and also getting back into writing. So, at this time no ETA for when Book two will come out, but I will strive to get it written and published for you all to read as soon as I can!
Anyway, I think that is it for now. This blog is already super long and probably one of my longest! XD But, I just wanted to update you guys on things when it has been nearly a year since I wrote my last blog post! Take care everyone and know I am still alive and kicking, and these stories stuck in my head are going to get written for you to read sometime in the future!

Oh, yeah, Covid. Very fun... I caught the disease back in November of last year. Can't say it was as bad for me — just fever, frequent coughs, and overall fatigue for two weeks straight — but I feel ya. Hope it's all better for you now

See, y'all? Willingly giving love to changelings not only doesn't drain you of your emotions, but it can even make you feel more fulfilled — one reason behind this is that they really and genuinely appreciate the love you're giving them (as you can see from the purrs the Queen exchanged in response to me giving her streams of love).
And unlike the twisted love "harvested" by them through impersonation, the love that's meant for them, in its raw and unaltered form, is far more nourishing and satiating for them. The only reason that they turned to shape-shifting was to survive, because they've been taken for parasites in the past during the times they tried to come out to the ponies.
But enough of that! It's time we showed them they no longer need to struggle for survival! It's time we opened our hearts and welcomed them amongst ourselves to live in peace and harmony — we'll also have the chance to see just how much we've been missing out ourselves all this time!...
