I made a VTuber avatar of my profile pic · 7:43pm May 20th, 2021
So...this. 
As you can see, it's a fully rigged Vtuber avatar of my profile picture! I downloaded some Google images of Maud and Pinkie Pie, vectorized the image by hand, recolored all the parts, rigged it using Live2D, and recorded using VTube Studio.
I admit, my model is not gonna be winning any awards any time soon, but I think it's pretty good considering I had no knowledge of any digital art software a week ago! (Maud works especially well for a beginner VTuber model, since she has little to no expression, making it relatively easy to animate.)
Special thanks to TheMajorTechie for propelling me to go ahead with this project. Here he is in VTuber-FormTM reading one of my stories.
I'd appreciate constructive feedback on the avatar. I'm always looking to make improvements. Also let me know if you'd like to see me do actual stuff with the VTuber avatar (maybe readings, react videos, etc.)

Honestly it's some pretty good work for someone who came from nothing. (Now I really want to start seeing other pony OC as vtubers)
I would say the blinking needs work since even when both lids close at the same time it looks janky. (Though I've no idea how it works so shooting in the dark here)
I guess readigns would be the more logical thing to do but it's up to you. You can just blog about life and stuff

) Biggest issue is probably my webcam quality.
The blinking sensitivity on the motion capture software is probably set too high. I already lowered the parameter quite a bit, but it still mistakes my eyes as closed when I'm smiling or it thinks that my eyelids are drooping down when I have them open. I have Asian monolids so maybe that's the reason? (Is the software racist...?
You're right, I haven't seen very many pony VTubers out there. That's one reason why I wanted to do this project.

Oh my eyes are almost closed most of the time since I can see from afar so I would probably have the same problem
I know of one, but I think she mostly streams, and one known VTuver made one for April's Fool's but she liked it too much so she keeps using it from time to time.
Are there MLP VTuver stories?
I feel like I should know that.
There still needs a little work to synch the blinks and get the mouth flaps to match your talking, but you're coming along fairly well. Look at it like this, you're light years ahead of me as I don't know how to do any of that.

Pinkie being Maud is a really interesting thing to look at
