I don't get how an animation this well made only has 6K views. When I first watched it I thought the animation is top notch but the voice acting is meh, but he released a follow up video, and now I'm starting to like her raspy voice. Certainly not what you'd expect from a cute mare but it has its own charm.
Initial thought: what the buck am I watching?

The dude who makes it apparently has a thing for doing literally everything himself (besides music which he credits). That means all of his characters are also voiced by him, including Athena (which is the canon name of the horse as designated in the follow up vid he made). So the reason her voice sounds like that despite being a professional animator/artist, he apparently never was a professional voice actress
