Something that I find kind of annoying about Resident Evil 7-8

It seems like a lot of people think that the mold is a virus, when it is in reality, a fungus. I can deal with it, but it gets annoying after a while.
Especially when it is literally written on the Resident Evil wiki:

The Mold is a fungal superorganism which was discovered by Miranda in an Eastern European Village in the early 1900s and developed by The Connections in the 1990s as part of their Bio Organic Weapons research. The purpose of the Mold was a means of mind control, with a genetically-engineered human mentally controlling others.

I'm pretty sure it's also directly implied in the games as well.

I don't really have problem with it, but it gets mildly frustrating when you have to correct a lot of people on it.
