I just finished Monsters of Our Own by Aquaman, Pacific Rim / MLP crossover I didn’t know I needed.

While it was a completely gonzo story, and the Jaeger vs. kaiju fight scenes take up a lot of the word count, I was extremely impressed by how Aquaman kept true to the worldbuilding and characterizations of both sets of source material. Aquaman made what should have been a discordant chimera of a crossover into a natural feeling unified story.

It is not a nice story, nor an easy story, but it was extremely clever storytelling and what I needed at that moment. Thank you to Aquaman for sharing it.
