Gaius Julius Caesar: "Caesar once, seeing some wealthy strangers at Rome, carrying up and down with them in their arms and bosoms young puppy-dogs and monkeys, embracing and making much of them, took occasion not unnaturally to ask whether the women in their country were not used to bear children; by that prince-like reprimand gravely reflecting upon persons who spend and lavish upon brute beasts that affection and kindness which nature has implanted in us to be bestowed on those of our own kind."
Me: "Ok yeah but Princess Luna is really pretty tho"
"Ok yeah but Princess Luna is really pretty tho"
The words of a true scholar.
Before I go into what I planned to say when I saw a Caesar story, I feel like I should mention that one horse senator.
Anyway, now that that obligation is over, I prefer the time when he was captured by pirates for ransom. He actually ended up getting on quite well with the crew, and they all laughed when he said that after his release he'd come back with an armada and wipe them out. They stopped laughing when he made good on that "joke".
He shamed people for wanting to snug Moon Princess?
No wonder they stabbed him to death.

"Et tu, Luna?"
Lol I should commission that over a classic painting
I was confused for 5 seconds when I thought it said Gallus Julius Caesar, wondering if that was Gallus' full name.

So... like the regular historical artwork of Caesar being stabbed, but impose a classically drawn Luna over where Brutus should be?

I think that’s a bit much.
He wasn’t shaming them for wanting so snuggle Luna, after all. Just for showering their pets with more affection than their kids, which is pretty fucked up tbh.

Hey now, he did prove that he did genuinely like them... He had them killed before crucifying them after all.
