Gone Way Too Long... · 9:11am May 12th, 2021

I wish I could say there was a good explanation for my absence. I wish I could report to you that I've managed to finish a bunch of projects and chapters while I was silent. I wish I could, but I can't.

Truth of the matter is that I completely and utterly failed to keep at my projects. Sure, I DID do SOME writing for the next chapter in "Beautiful Stories", but not enough to post. Furthermore, it is so far for only one chapter. Yeah, I suck... And, it's not like I haven't had the time. I've had plenty of time since I last posted a blog here.

I must confess though... I've been kinda getting back into my oldest hobby (gaming) lately, which has been keeping me more and more away from writing. I've been trying to finish a runthrough of Persona 5R in preparation for Strikers (which I bought). I've been trying to run clean-up in Pokemon: SoulSilver, as I'm WAY behind in trying to run through the rest of the series after that one. I've also been jumping back into Darksiders 2 after what felt like half a decade since I last played, and enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I'm also planning on trying to play more DMC5 and S-rank a few more missions.

And the list of games I want to play/beat/clean-up/just unlock new stuff in/etc kinda goes on. I guess that's the ultimate curse of a game collector, lol.

Speaking of, I've noticed a crap-tonne of games on the PS3 recently shot up in price, with a few intriguing choices out of the lot. Seriously, I never anticipated games like "Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon" or "Splatterhouse" would suddenly gain such notoriety (then again, I always felt those games were criminally underrated, so it's good to see them get some sort of love). I mean, I don't intend on selling 'em, but it's kinda nice to see pieces of my collection being worth more than just my personal entertainment and sentimentality (and, on occasion, research). Maybe this new found "gold rush" in gaming will keep hiking things up, or it'll die off when the funky ronah subsides a little, who knows, but one thing is for certain. if you have a PS3, and are game hunting, good luck to ya, and always shop around before you rush into a sale. Take it from a relatively experienced collector.

Other than that, I've also been slowly plugging away at a secret side project that has to do with my most favorite game of all time, but I'm not gonna talk about it right now. I'll just leave it at that.

All that said, I'm still here, still trying to read and write, and I still love these silly ponies, so I ain't going anywhere any time soon. Not that my lack of presence really helped that case.

I do hope to get back to you with some actual progress. Maybe sometime this month. Who knows.
