Status Update on "Tale of 2 Big Boys" Things are back on Track, and Heading for Publishing at Breakneck Speed! · 3:59am May 9th, 2021

As you may recall, a short while back, I posted a blog post giving status updates on "Tale of 2 Big Boys", and how it seemed dead in the water now that my co-author for the story, "An Iowa-Class Battleship", had seemingly gone MIA, and cancelled all of his stories without explanation. However, the situation has since changed, and things are not only looking good, but are right now at the brink of being finished. What do I mean by all of this? Well, let me break it down.
First of all, Iowa's absence from the site was due to him being in the hospital following a major car accident back in February. Luckily he survived, and with only minor injuries, however, he did have to be hospitalized, and will be in recovery until June or so. He lost his phone in the accident, and this was why he never really contacted anyone. So Iowa is alive, and is still with us on this site, however, that brings me to my next point.
As you all saw before, Iowa's stories were all marked "Cancelled". Why is this? Well, Iowa told me himself that he has been losing interest on this site, and has been looking into writing his stories elsewhere. So yes, in a way, he is leaving FIMFiction, but only as an author. He'll still be around to read, and see us enjoy his work. At least, that was how I understood it. I assume that he'll maybe write a blog post here before too long confirming this for everyone else. Though that still leaves the question on whether or not he'll finish the next unfinished chapter of his stories "Landfall", and "Rails of Destruction", both of which have unfinished chapters. I asked Iowa about this in my reply to his PM, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I would say cross your fingers that he'll keep those 2 stories alive, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. It might not come to fruition, and I don't want to mislead anyone
And that brings me around to my final point. What is the current status of "To2BB", and will it ever be released. Well, I have good news for all of you. You've all been so patient with us while we hammered this out, and I really appreciate that. As I said before, Chapter 2 of the story was incomplete, and that was holding the story back from being released. However, as of about 12:30am CT last night, Iowa posted the rest of the chapter to our shared Google Doc, and as of about 10:30pm CT tonight, I finished proofreading it, as well as adding some of my own stuff, before moving it over to the Main Story. So as of right now, Chapter 2 is complete, and has been proofread, and that now leaves us at the final step. All that's left to be done is talk with Iowa a little bit more, and make absolutely certain that we're satisfied with the Prologue, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2, and then we can finally release it. Isn't that great news? FINALLY, after all this time, the first parts of the long-awaited next story in the Battleship Express Saga will finally be released! Yay!
I'll update you when the story is ready with another blog post, one that will hopefully be worded so as to make it.........no. On second thought, I'll just have it be a surprise. I know that Iowa will make his own blog post about it, so keep your eyes peeled, as it could be ready by the end of May for release! I'll see you all again soon, and on that day, Leopard, and all of the rest of the crew of the Battleship Express will make their return to a story, and be ready to fight once again. Yeah. As I said above, Chapter 2 has been completed, and proofread, though now Iowa and I just have to check everything over to make sure that it's how we want it, and then it'll be ready for release
Oh SHIT. Well, good to see that Iowa's okay. I hope that he recovers quickly!
