SO
I have been given the opportunity to become a manager at the job I am currently at.
Currently, I work at a thrift store, and the way I'm becoming and being trained to become a manager is a little sus cuz the b**** I'm replacing doesn't and won't know a thing about it until it happens and I already have keys and numbers for the security code. This woman is mean and nasty and as a literal customer described her as "a chihuahua that sits on her ass and barks orders and never does anything herself and never helps us." Which.... isn't far from the truth at all. Our store manager has even posed that he is unwilling to continue with her being a manager due to her negativity and constant complaining about the other employees (including me.... despite the other manager literally sending me to the store manager for the position because he thought I would be good at it... since I'm like... the best and hardest working cashier they have had in like... ages. especially for my age. That's one thing I can thank Walmart for.) Anyway, the store manager doesn't have any faith in her continuing to be in that position and has told me (indirectly and kinda in a swerve way) That I would be taking her spot.
So you might be thinking, "what does this mean for my stories?" Well, it means I will actually have more time to write. I would be working 4 days a week, getting more hours and more pay. This means those 3 days I'm not working will help me devote time to my writing and art!
This will go on until January when I head into college to start my education path in bookkeeping/ accounting (not sure which one I wanna go into it all depends on how much debt I'm willing to throw myself into.)
So I am heavily excited and thrilled to be part of the team I have come to know as a family for the past few months. And I'm even more thrilled that the people I work with will enjoy me being the manager! So hears to a new beginning!
