Friday Update on Midnight Story · 6:49am May 1st, 2021
It sucks that my outline for this story is, like, five sentences. Heck, I've got a few shortened outline notes that total around one full sentence if you squint.
All These Midnight Days's final-ish* chapter is... well. I just spat out 4k words today alone. The total runtime of this final-ish outing is already at 17 thousand words, with the truly final climax still to come. But, at least I've finally pressed on through the worst of the emotional turmoil... maybe? A significant percentage of it, anyway.
So. Yeah. We're looking at a finale that's going to land in the same ballpark as the entirety of Midnight at the Crystal Library, this story's first prequel!
I don't think I can adequately describe the agony I'm in. The story must be told, but it's just... I'm fully aware that it's been almost a month with no update. I am painfully aware that people (at least some people) want to see how this all turns out. And not being able to deliver for so long is killing me.
Still... almost there. It's coming. And once this nightmare of a chapter--
Actually, no. This nightmare of several chapters. I will be uploading all of it in one, big, cluster bomb of chapters. I might wait a day or two between updates just to assert dominance or something, but I will drop it all at once!
And then... the real finale!
And then, other stories! Hell, maybe even a few Anarchy short stories. Time will tell.
