For the fourth time I am spending my day working as a 'patient' for medical students.
It's basically this, this time:
I have a tension headache and the student gets to ask me questions like in a real setting (I am in a mock hospital room) to diagnose what's wrong with me.
I almost got kidney stones, but they changed me last second.
Easy $17 a hour for 8 hours, paid lunch included.
Work is fine. The job is easy but it's just making me tense and frustrated lately. Nepotism and discrimination, mostly. I have to pick my battles, though.
I need to work to save money for my custody battle looking ahead.
Learned the ex is using racial slurs about her new husband in front of the kids. They're shocked and uncomfortable and I can't do anything, yet, about it.
I'll be posting more stories and chapters soon, just not enough hours in the day!
Taking the kids to the park, cleaning house, bbq's, socializing now that Covid is relaxing takes a lot of my time.
I got a CPAP and it's changing my life. I wake up less, or not at all, tired and don't need to nap as much, if at all.
Well at least things seem to get a little more stable for you, and that you are building up your strength for the battles ahead for your children, well at least they seem to have changed their stance on you being more positive now. Best of luck to you dude.
It's good you're getting some restful sleep. Work sounds like it could be interesting. I wouldn't mind giving that a go. I'm still looking for work myself. Sorry to hear about the rest. Hang in there man. Continue holding yourself to a higher standard than your ex. The kids will remember when they grow up.
I’m sorry man. But your doing the right thing that that is great. We have enough hate in this world. and when you can it’s best to stop it.
Good luck, friend! I know it must be difficult at times, but if you are doing the right things, your kids will notice. The fact that they are uncomfortable means they know the difference. Glad you're resting better, too. That will prepare you for the days ahead. Best of luck!
