    Update Tonight

    Hey everypony,

I'm back. And back writing too. I've finally found some energy and inclination to get back into writing, and have managed to hash out three more chapters of 'Crossing the Rubicon'. Expect sporadic updates, starting tonight.

    New Year, New Problems

    Hello everypony,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and decent start to the new year. I figured it made sense to update you on what's going on at the moment.

Well, my new year hasn't exactly got off on the best of starts. I'm going to be starting a new job next week, and it means that I'm finally going to move out and have my own place.

Update and New Story Ideas · 5:47pm Apr 26th, 2021

Hello again everyone. Here's hoping you're all still alive and well. Celestia knows that it's a guarantee any more these days. Now that the apocalypse is starting to wind down and work has slowly gotten a little less mental, I've managed to get some time to write and get the creative spark back. So I thought I'd do a little promo of what I'm working on at the moment.

First up, my next story. I'm looking to move away a little from the HiE genre and all its cliches, as well as move on from what turned into a seven story series that I never expected to do as well as it did. Having read a few good interpretations of her character on here, I decided to try my hand at writing a story about everybody's favourite dark and edgy pony; Tempest Shadow. While I couldn't stand the movie for love nor money, I've seen some pretty good post-redemption stories for her on here and fancied throwing my own hat into the ring. The story will follow her after the movie as she tries to rebuild her life in Equestria. Along the way, she will encounter a character that briefly popped up in my last story 'A Year in Equestria' as well as 'Tales From Day Court'; Elusive. While he might be R63 Rarity, I'm making him something a little bit different, taking inspiration from a much admired Star Trek character. I'm currently six and a half chapters into that and have the whole story planned out. With any luck, I should be publishing that around June.

After that, I thought I might write something involving best princess. I'm going to try my hand at shipping again, going for a pairing that i haven't seen too much of, but seems like it would work; Luna/Stygian. The latter, along with all the Pillars was criminally underused in the show if you ask me, so I'd love to explore his character a bit more. This one will be more of a simple romance fic, given that I'm not exactly an expert at writing it, but again, I have the bare bones already drafted and ready to go once I finish the above Tempest story.

My last idea, which is still in the planning stage is a story set in the world of EqG. Inspired by Torchwood, the SCP Foundation and the game 'Control', it will follow a joint human-pony team in EqG Canterlot who deal with the fallout caused by all the Equestrian magic coming through the mirror portal, from the events of the films to more mundane events. I plan to have a storyline similar to the first Men in Black film, with a new agent being recruited. This story will be more action based and may even see the characters crossing paths with the Legion of Doom, as well as a few other villains, human and pony.

So, yeah, that's what I have in the pipeline. Hopefully there's something for everyone who follows me on here. Comment below and let me know what you think of the ideas. I'm always open to suggestions.

Additionally, my old friend and proofread Sweetolebob18, due to some stuff going on IRL has had to step down as my usual proofread, so if anyone fancies proofreading any of these when they're ready to publish, let me know here in PM me.

Anyway, thanks for reading if you've gotten all the way here. I hope things are looking up wherever you are. And if not, remember that old adage of the dearly departed Top Gear; 'Still...could be worse'. :trollestia:
