I don’t like the full rainbow. Her colors were a bit of an eyesore. And I never understood why her coat was blue. I like the dark colors contrasting the light, so that’s what I went for.
Her mane and tail is shorter, I feel like a long hair do would mess up how fast you fly, and ya know Rainbow, all bout that speed.
Other than that, the only other thing I did was give her bandages. She’s a bit reckless, so I thought she would get herself injured more often than not.

Her coat was blue because that's the color of the sky. You know, where she spends practically all of her time? Also, rainbows are generally streaked across the sky, leading to a blue background.
