Should I shell out $38 for an ebay listing on a floppy drive with no controller board?

This summer's gonna be the first time in almost four years where I don't have some form or another of summer classes taking up most of the day, and I'm itching to work on several big projects, which I hope I can also post onto youtube as progress/walkthrough videos.

Only issue I see is that I don't have a job and I finally got my one and only stimulus check. I don't wanna spend too much, and my overly-frugal brain doesn't like prices above $15 on anything lol.

UPDATE: I have committed impulse-purchase.
