Newsies #39 + Help Request/Signal Boost · 1:30pm Apr 11th, 2021
I'll start with the regular news and the more lighthearted stuff, first. After, we'll talk about the more . . . serious things that are going on.
Just popping in to let everyone know that I'll be taking a wee break from working on Wicked Games this week. I WILL be working on other things, but after writing my longest chapter EVER on that story or any other, at a hair over 10,000 words, I need a little breather.
Don't worry, it's not going into hiatus hell like the majority of my other stories have, and I've actually already got a start going on the NEXT chapter, I'm just wanting to work on some other things.
Mayhaps another chapter of Alicorn's Respite. What? You thought I forgot about that one? Hell naw, dude, that one is still my jam, and is much more likely to get me back into something at least resembling a good mood.
Also, for the bit I'm thinking about writing, a continuation of Pendragon's first encounter with Pinkie Pie, things are gonna get weird, freaky and . . . shmexy.
On a more serious note, however, I'd like to make a little bit of a signal boost, and I'll also be working on something similar for my YouTube channel. I and my partner have been in a long distance relationship for going on five years, now. She lives in England, I live in America. This is stressful enough, but she's also transgender. She struggles with depression and . . . well . . . negative thoughts, on a fairly regular basis, and recently it's gotten bad enough she's been put on anti-depressants, which are sadly not doing much for her.
The UK apparently has a bit of a . . . bad rep, for how it deals with Trans people, and getting them the help they need through official clinics, which leads a LOT of them to seeking aid via private groups and facilities. However . . . this is expensive. Neither she nor I are terribly comfortable with asking for help, but in this situation . . . We need it. Desperately. She's running out of a hope, and so am I, and I don't know how much longer this can go on before something breaks.
I'm not going into a lot detail here, as it's not my story to tell. I'm simply going to say, anything you could give would be appreciated, and if you can't donate anything, then if you can just help us spread the word, that would be lovely. Neither of us is super active on social media, and so we're finding it next to impossible to spread news of this around.
So, then, follow the link below to check her GoFundMe, and read her story, and anything you can do to help would be much appreciated.
I don't really have anything more to say, regarding that. . . .
Anyway, thank you for reading, and if you even think about helping us, thank you for that, as well, from the bottom of my heart, really.
Until next time, then. Harmonia Invictus!
