Eight Years. (Chapter 115 of Long Haul is out!) · 9:52pm Apr 2nd, 2021
Howdy again everyone! Not only is it that time of the month again, but that time of year where I celebrate my anniversary of picking up the proverbial pen and started writing FoE fics! Eight years ago I read FoE, Pink Eyes, PH, and Heroes, and decided 'Hey, I could do that too!'. And here we are, still going. Sure it's been a bit slow going over the last year, but I'm still as inspired by FoE as I was back then. And I hope you all still are as well! While I don't have any new art or anything super special to present on this special date, I do have a new chapter of Long Haul up for you all to read.
Really though, there are a few things I think are important for me to say after eight years however. First, in relation to Long Haul, my gratitude towards a specific guy who's helped keep every chapter looking it's best when it goes up. TheFurryRailFan probably didn't think that when he offered to look over chapters that he'd be doing it for five years, but he's worked on pretty much every single chapter so far, and I can't thank him enough for that. Seriously, man, I don't know how you've pushed through, but you have my eternal gratitude for your dedication.
The next thing I need to do is express my thanks to all of you, who continue to read and be supportive of my works. I know it's not been the easiest thing to keep up on, and you all have invested so much time into reading my work that I've been constantly humbled by your dedication. And knowing that you all are out there willing to read has helped to keep me going, even when I've considered quiting in the past. But thanks to the help of so many over the years, I know that even if I have to slow down at times, I don't think I ever want to fully stop writing stories. So again, I have eight years worth of thanks to give to everyone I know and see on here, and I do hope that you'll continue to come back as I continue to finish up Long Haul and move on to the next project I've got in mind. But I think that's enough for one blog post. After all, you all have a new chapter to go check out!
So of course, like every month, I'll be right back here again at the start of May with yet another new chapter for you all. Like always, feel free to write your thoughts on this new one in the comments, both the good and the bad. And while this whole pandemic thing seems to be creeping closer toward getting somewhat under control, I want you all to continue to stay safe out there. Until next month, take care, and enjoy the story!
Thanks for a new chapter and I have started on the book Fallout: Equestria - Occupational Hazards by thefurryrailfan. Took me a while to realize that the story was of two different people and the first bit was not just a dream by the second person who picked up the narration.

Yeah, it was a bit odd at first, but it's probably the only story (besides its sequel!) I've seen where switching perspectives while continuing the narrative actually works well. Once you get a bit into the story and start to understand who the characters are, it becomes this sort of seamless thing where each perspective's unique look at things really helps build a more complete worldview.
