Writing Update #2 (editing help)

Might as well do another one of these writing updates. So first, let’s talk about Sweet Pepper

It is without a doubt my most successfully Fic I’ve written so far. 100% on rating, rave comments (not a single stupid one which I seem to be getting a lot now), and my personal favorite story I’ve written so far. I was scared the Fic would annoy some people as being to upfront with its message, but I think the random tag definitely fixed that problem. So you essentially get a short story that’s simple in concept, and yet one in which I tried to make particularly memorable. I’m happy to say I think I’ve accomplished that. Now time to get a dislike on it to bring me back down to planet Earth. But really, thank you to everyone who read and enjoyed. You have no idea how much it made my day.

Anyways, Im working on a sequel on it. There’s a lot more I can do with Sweet Peppers character, and I’d like to explore it through a multi chapter Fic. Let’s see if it ever releases.

You may have also noticed Equestrian Thrones is gone. I reread the prologue and WOW. That’s bad. Like, really bad. I get it’s good to keep old stories up to see how far you come, but Equestrian Thrones just hurts. Now Im thinking of rewriting the thing instead of abandoning it or picking up where I left off. So yeah, maybe that will happen eventually.

Now Detective Rarity.. That didn’t do well at all, and it’s definitely a flawed story. Still, it has some of my favorite jokes in there, despite being inconsistent. I probably could have done more with the concept, but I was too focused on just releasing another story. Let’s try not to do that again. So yeah, it would be great if you could check out. Probably worth a few chuckles. Maybe. I don’t know.

Now Book of AppleDash. Still going strong, so that’s good. Finally started to get into dramatic stuff, so stay tuned for more of that. There are arcs that Book of AppleDash will consist of. The first arc will be finished in another chapter or two before focusing on something else. I’m just having trouble reading past chapters because of terrible grammatical errors and weird word choices. Just the fact I missed all those suck. I think that the reason I still have readers is that it’s obvious I’m really trying to do my best here, but I’m eventually going to have to pick it up.

So here’s where that editing help in the titles comes from. I could use some editors for Book of AppleDash, so if anyone’s interested, just message me and we’ll get this thing started. It could really help having a different pair of eyes looking at it before it gets published. I’ll probably go to one of those groups designed for editing help, but for now I’ll ask here.

Now... what am I currently writing? I’ve got a story idea I’ll probably just give to Story Idea Depot, so that’s fun. I’ve got a couple horror fics in the works, that romance one-shot is still kicking, and I’ve got an idea for a Anon Fic. I also got a story idea I personally think is pretty great, and I’ll run it by her quick. Essentially, Humans exist with ponies in Equestria, and ponies are driven to the working class, while Humans are at the top of the social hierarchy due to political manipulation long ago. It’s a world that I’m eager to explore, but I’m definitely going to have to outline it. Still something I look forward to.

I also finished reading Origin Story by Kkat so... yeah, cool. Fallout Equestria is fantastic. Read it if you haven’t already. Just slowly waiting for my print version to come. Until then, I hate everything. That’s basically it for now. Bye.
