You Cannot Force a Willing Mind

You cannot force a willing mind
to yield, and end its restless quest
to lose the chains and ties that bind.

The ancients said that love is blind,
but see your lover clearly, lest
you cannot force a willing mind.

Two minds and bodies, souls entwined,
can help each other pass the test
to lose the chains and ties that bind.

    Someones, though, seek another kind

Some themes from the G5 movie score

Enough with the crazy theories. I want to talk a bit about something that definitely is there in the movie: its score.

    A G5 fanfiction idea

After the restoration of magic, Sunny Starscout gets funded to develop and produce a TV adaptation of the ancient Equestrian myths her father told her.

The result is MLP:FiM as we know it.

Clocktower Society on Discord · 10:20pm Mar 22nd, 2021

Dominant Creed had a few hours in the feature box when it updated last week, which has led to about a dozen new faves (thanks!).

This made me think that readers who came across the story randomly probably won't realize there's an active online community around the Clocktower Society universe that the story takes place in. There is a FIMFiction group, but that is pretty dead. Most of the activity I'm aware of takes place in our Discord chat server.

Live chat can be a bit of a time sink, and is not for everyone -- but if you've always wanted to talk to some people about Sip and Cirrus, or about ideas for other stories in the universe or consensual kinks in general, or see my latest progress updates, or try a bit of Clocktower-themed roleplaying, consider joining us. We're a pretty friendly bunch. You can find joining instructions here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pG0qiYmxxmPMmEG9QOTA_oMmQ_ftE9CmwwONIaVz_vI.

Joining the server requires passing a short interview to check that you're genuinely interested in the setting. There's some required reading from the original CtS story, detailed in the link above -- about 10,000 words in total. Say Troposphere sent you, and the mods might go easy on you.

(However, if you're not a legal adult, please don't join, to avoid endangering other members of the server).

I love the story and I find amazing how much effort you guys put into that universe, and that's worth something because I don't even like bdsm, I kinda dislike it actually but holy safeword, Batman, you guys made it awesome.

So conflicting... I wanna join but it feels like being lactose intolerant and going to an ice cream shop.

and even then they would only have 2 flavors, bdsm and vanilla, and I'm a vanilla guy...

Yeah, if you don't like BDSM in general, you probably wouldn't be very happy in the server. Once or twice we've had someone join who (for reasons I never quite understood) tried earnestly and doggedly to fit in even though most facets of BDSM squicked them out; they had a miserable time.

But thanks for the praise!

It is tempting, but I'm a bit wary about it. Especially the interview (which I completely understand if you want to avoid spammers).

Mainly because I don't have much knowledge on the subject, I'm not an artist or a writer. I don't think I have much to contribute or if I will fit in.

...

Dammit. Your fic is too relatable. :twilightsheepish:

"Interview" might sound scarier than it really is. It's really just a very short verification that you know roughly what the setting is about. Mostly it's there to make sure we can keep our focus on CTS and its values, rather than getting diluted by friends of members and then their friends, and their friends' friends, neither of whom ever even read a CTS story. In particular, we don't require any special writer or artist qualifications, or any deeper knowledge than what the stories present.

Really, the worst that can happen is you waste an hour or two before you conclude we're boring ...
