Hey guys, I probably reacted on an impulse.
So as you know, I have taken control of a story called “It Never Really Ends” from a wonderful guy named Vlad. I really liked the story back when it was still active, and I still do, which was reason one into why I took over.
Reason two was that I didn’t want someone else to scoop it up and start changing it radically, which I guess is a fair thing to want to do, no insult to Vlad, it does seem more edgy and just really dark for the sake of being dark at some points, but that’s kinda what it was you know, and it was something I saw as from my “childhood” and felt more nostalgic over it, rather then believing that my writing ability could revive it, which leads me into reason three.
My writing abilities, or lack there of feels to me like the reason that if I continue I will kill any love any one has for this story, which is why after I tell one specific person for their interest that they brought up to me, it will be put up for adoption, because you don’t deserve the the writing of someone who can just barely reach the minimum word requirement of a high school essay, you deserve better, and better you shall have.
I apologize to those who had high hopes for me, but I just don’t think I can quite reach the bar you had for me, even if it was only one foot off the ground and maybe wasn’t that high either way. I hope that the next author will be able to deliver what I couldn’t.
So I hope you guys understand, but I don’t think I am qualified to keep this story alive, but rest assured, I will make sure it reaches the hands of someone who can.

It is all right, there are many people who can understand your position and your feelings, me included. I just hope you don't feel bad over it, and am personally proud of how well you handled yourself.

So it really ends huh, shame understandable but shame, sadly with fim and fimfic being in decline I have little hope, I'd gladly take any updates then none.

Man, this is one of my favorite stories on this website and it made me think of so many scenarios while I was reading it, even though I was always hoping for conflict resolution and instead the conflict only ever escalated.
I would love to adopt this story but I'm not confident in my skills enough to either. And like I mentioned above I would probably either go against it's tone or change it to another one.
You could just write an ending though, you could close this story in a good note. It doesn't have to keep going nor it has any reasons to if there's no creative vision behind to carry it through. An "Old Yeller" situation, a mercy kill. Could be happy, could be dark, could be bittersweet, whatever it could be, it would be closure none the less.
